• Give thanks. I found Joseph Semien Jr. MD, Peirre Johnson MD and Maxime Madhere MD by accident on Instagram. I was blown away at seeing three FYNE!!!! Black doctors, mentoring, being active in their community and loving husbands and fathers to less fortunate black males in the community. As I started to follow them in IG, they were promoting their book, Pulse Of Perseverance. I purchased the book, finished the entire book in a few days and several flights and decided to pass the book along to my eldest son. If you have not purchased this book and follow these gentleman on social media, you are missing out. I commend ALL of them for their hard work and the love and support they have for each other and their determination to build black leaders. Keep up the good work.

• I read Pulse of Perseverance in three days. I couldn't put it down. Pierre, Joe, Max each had their challenges both academically and personally. But they didn't let that stop them from achieving their goals. Knowing that Pierre, Max, and Joe reached the top of their profession motivates to keep pursuing my goals in the medical field. Excellent book. I will let everyone I know about Pulse of Perseverance. Great work Drs. Johnson, Semien, Madhere.
• This book was an excellent read! I originally purchased the book to support one of the authors, who is my nephews Godfather. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. Someone please contact Oprah's Bookclub. Pulse of Perseverance is a very genuine passionate book about the lives of three Doctors, and their journey from childhood to the present. Parts of the book are like a history lesson and I kept saying to myself, Wow, I did not know that. I loved reading Pulse of Perserverance.
• This book should be a must read not only for adults, but for every teen & college student! I also purchased this book for my teenage cousin and nephew. They loved it! It will change your perspective on life & resiliency.
• This book is amazing and very inspirational!!! Myself, being a single black woman, mother of 3, and full time worker in the health field can relate to the many trials and tribulations it took to get to the road of success!!! This book helped me to see the things that I have been through and am going through from a different perspective. In fact from a more positive one!!!The authors are truly amazing and are living proof that with God, hard work, dedication, and support, you can accomplish and have the victory over anything that comes across your path!
• My best read of the year! A true late turner and I could not put the book down. These three men a living proof of faith and diligence. If you are looking for a well written inspirational read you have found it!
• I enjoyed the total book as it outlined how each of them learn to overcome barriers and obstacles in their life to achieve their life's desire. It is a testimony of three African American men who understood what it took to prevent the system from destroying their dreams. HBCU's have played such a significant role in the lives of many of our successful African American.
